HBL will valet your bike for free at the 2026 Coastlines and Community Festival on Saturday, September 12th! Join the cleanup, enjoy live music, and browse a food + local vendor festival.

HLTA’s EAC BikeEd Donation 2026
For the third time, HLTA’s Engineers Advisory Council has provided funds to purchase, and volunteer power to build, a new fleet of bicycles for HBL’s BikeEd program! We’ll start the new school year with 60 new bikes!

Bill Signing Ceremony with Governor Green
On July 15, 2026 HBL Executive Director Travis Counsell was invited to make remarks as Governor Green signed HB2021 into law as Act 259. This caps years of advocacy and education efforts to update statewide traffic code with new definitions and regulations for e-bikes and micro mobility devices.

Tell Congress: USDOT Should put safety first!
Last week the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) removed bike lanes, road diets, and speed management (including speed cameras) from their Proven Safety Countermeasures website. We need to call on Congress to ask USDOT why these recommendations were removed and to demand an explanation for putting politics ahead of safety. We deserve an explanation on why the administration is erasing protections for vulnerable road users.
