Training Series

Looking to tackle your personal riding goal or complete first century ride? Awesome! The Honolulu Century Ride (HCR) is the best day to do that as you’ll be supported with snacks, encouragement, and all your fellow riders to help you achieve your distance goal.

The purpose of the training series is to work riders up to completing the 100-mile HCR on Sunday September 27. The series starts with a 30-mile ride and adds 5 miles per week, culminating in an 80-mile ride on September 20. The idea is that if you can ride 80, you can ride 100.

The training series rides are no-drop group rides with an 11-12 mph minimum speed. If we have enough leaders, we’ll run both faster and slower groups.

Rides have a 7:15 am meet-up (circle up/route review) and a 7:30 am ride out. Please note that the first ride will have a 15-30 minute Group Riding Review for new riders, and will leave after the review.
