Introducing Kaiwi Bike & Bus, a brand-new ride option designed specifically for novice cyclists, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy a taste of the Honolulu Century Ride without taking on a longer distance.
Ride the Kaiwi Coast
Kaiwi Bike & Bus begins at Kapiʻolani Park with the Honolulu Century Riders at 6:15am and follows the opening 13.5 miles of the Honolulu Century Ride to the first Aid Station at Sandy Beach Park.
Along the way, riders will experience one of the most memorable sections of the Honolulu Century Ride: two miles of the Kaiwi Coast with no cars on the road. It’s a chance to take in the spectacular coastline, enjoy the ride with your family and friends, and experience what makes the Honolulu Century Ride so special.
When you reach Sandy Beach Park, you’ll find the familiar support of the Honolulu Century Ride Aid Station, along with a special treat: poi malasadas!
Then, Let the Bus Do the Work
Once you’ve finished the 13.5-mile ride, there’s no need to turn around and ride back. Your bus ride back to Kapiʻolani Park is included with Kaiwi Bike & Bus.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride while we take you back to the heart of the Ride Aloha Festival. You’ll arrive at Kapiʻolani Park with plenty of time to enjoy live entertainment, food, and the festival atmosphere.
Perfect for New Riders and Families
If you’ve ever wanted to participate in the Honolulu Century Ride but weren’t sure you were ready for a 25-, 50-, 75-, or 100-mile ride, Kaiwi Bike & Bus is your chance to join in.
It’s also a great option for families with younger riders who want to share the experience of riding together, enjoying the Kaiwi Coast, and celebrating at the park afterward.
