What's coming up next with HBL:
3/13 (Mon) Gathering for Safe Streets
Join us in a call for Safe Streets on Monday, 3/13/23 at 1pm in the Hawaii State Capitol Rotunda.
HBL and other partner organizations invite you for a gathering to promote Safe Streets at the Hawaii State Capitol next Monday at 1pm. We’re bringing together families who have lost loved ones to traffic violence, organizations advocating for change, and lawmakers working to support legislation to create safe streets for all. The event will occur at 1pm in the rotunda of the State Capitol. It will be an opportunity for other lawmakers, as well as the press, to connect regarding current bills and efforts.
4/30 (Sun) 30th Hale‘iwa Metric Century
Come ride with hundreds of other bicyclists during this epic ride along O‘ahu’s beautiful North Shore.
On April 30th at 7:30am, you’ll start at Kaiaka Bay Beach Park and ride towards Ka’ena Point. Take a little break at the turnaround at Camp Erdman before biking back towards Hale‘iwa, where you will pedal past famed ocean beaches and surf spots like Sharks Cove, Waimea Bay, Pipeline, and Sunset Beach. When you reach Hau‘ula Beach State Park, it will be time for your return along the beautiful coastline and over Hale‘iwa’s iconic Rainbow Bridge. You’ll finish right where you started at Kaiaka Bay Beach Park, where you’ll celebrate your achievement and enjoy camaraderie with your fellow bicyclists. The marked course features roving mechanics, course marshals, and plenty of aid stations to keep you energized and hydrated.
