What's Happening Now at HBL:

2026 Honolulu Century Ride

On Sunday, September 27th, thousands of rides will be gathering at Kapi‘olani Park for the Honolulu Century Ride. Don’t miss Hawaii’s largest cycling event as we ride a car-free Kaiwi Coast, the backroads of Waimānalo, and up the beautiful windward coast.

This event is a ride and not a race, welcoming riders of all skill level with options of riding 25. 50, 75, or the full 100 mile routes. Bike and Bus is an additional add on allowing riders to bike one way and catch a bus back to the park.

This is Hawai‘i Bicycling League’s largest fundraiser so please register to help support advocacy and education efforts across the state of Hawai‘i!

E-bike Education – New Law Alert!

Are you up to date with new legislation surrounding e-bikes and electric micromobility devices? HB2021 changes restrictions for e-bike users, defines High-Speed Electric Devices, bans mopeds from using bike facilities, requires helmets for those under 18 years of age on certain devices, and more. This bill is a big one, but HBL breaks it down for you with helpful key takeaways and the essential points that you should know. Click the button to learn more:

FREE Golden Gears Trike Rides are Scheduled for May & June!

HBL’s recumbent three-wheelers are returning to the bike paths of O‘ahu to bring joy, community, and healthy, low-impact exercise to adults and kūpuna across the island. Each free trike ride outing includes a recumbent EZ-Tri Classic trike, helmet, orientation session, and personal fitting to ensure everyone is feeling comfortable before we set out on an instructor-led ride on one of the many (car-free) multi-use paths around O‘ahu. There is no cost to register but donations (of any amount!) are highly appreciated to help cover the cost to run this program. Click below to view our 2026 Spring Triking Program schedule:
