This info published March 31st, 2026. For the most up-to-date recovery information, check the websites or social media accounts of the following orgs.
Since the March Kona low storms impacted Oʻahu’s North Shore, HBL staff has been communicating with our NS community partners about what support is needed. The organizations listed below are actively organizing recovery efforts in Waialua and are recommended for donation or volunteering:
Lāhui Foundation: coordinating aid, donations, and volunteers in Waialua.
Our Hawaiʻi: coordinating aid, donations, and volunteers in Waialua.
Malama Map: Volunteer and donation drop-off opportunities throughout Oʻahu.
Hawaiʻi Foodbank: Meals for families in need.
Please Note: As of March 31st, 2026, Waialua, an active disaster recovery zone, has been experiencing significant traffic congestion. It is recommended that only residents and people participating in relief efforts enter Waialua. For donation drop-offs there are multiple hubs throughout Oʻahu.
HBL is looking to plan a volunteer day in the future that aligns with our mission and decades of partnership with North Shore communities. Stay tuned to our website or monthly newsletter for those updates.
