To celebrate our 50th anniversary, Hawai‘i Bicycling League set a goal to raise $500,000 in new gifts, pledges, and grants. Thanks to an amazing community of individual supporters, businesses, foundations and key public partners we surpassed the goal and raised $511,250.

We counted every gift, from $.46 when a donor decides to add credit card processing fees to recurring and one-time donations from individuals ranging from $5 – $50,000. We are thrilled to partner with local organizations like the Kosasa Foundation and the Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation, the visitor industry through the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority’s community enrichment program, and the Sony Open in Hawai‘i.

The generosity of HBL’s supporters makes our wide array of programming possible. This includes our Golden Gears, especially for kūpuna, BikeEd for 4th graders, and advocacy efforts to champion safer streets and better infrastructure for all.  Together with allies statewide, including our chapter partners like Maui Bicycling League and HBL Dirt, as well as a diverse coalition of active transportation stakeholders, we are creating communities where people can safely experience the benefits and joys of cycling.
