Items Eligible to Sell:
Anything related to bicycles!
Think: cycling memorabilia, bike parts/components, items with bicycles printed on it, gear used for biking, bicycling apparel, complete bikes new and used… Basically, if it has anything to do with cycling, you may find it at the Cycle Swap Meet.
Vendor Spaces:
Standard Vendor Space: $20
Roughly 10’x10’ floorspace & includes one 6’ table provided by HBL.
HBL Member Rate: $15
Half Space: $10
Split half a space with another vendor (share half a table with another seller).
HBL Member Rate: $8
Bike-Only Space: $5 (per bike)
Have a bicycle/tricycle/unicycle you’re looking to sell but don’t want to commit to a vendor space? You can purchase a bike space @ $5 per bike and put it on our sale rack. You must stay on-site to handle your sale (HBL staff will not sell it for you).
Don’t want to stick around & hang out with your bike for the whole event? You can drop it off and dip – and let HBL staff handle any transaction made ($5 per bike + 25% of sale price donated to HBL). If your bike does NOT sell, we’ll notify you to come pick it up (between 4 & 5pm). Prior to the event you’ll compete a bike placard with details about each bike you’re trying to sell.
Both Standard Vendor and Half Spaces come with the option to borrow equipment (for no additional charge!):
- 6' table to show off your stuff
- Pop-up bike rack to display your bike(s)
On top of your designated space to swap/sell bike stuff hibernating in your home,
- Promotion of your goods for sale to all of HBL's cycling audience
- A bike-minded community! Opportunity to mingle, meet others with similar interests
- Great chance to offload items taking up space in your house!
- Feel good knowing someone will get to use the stuff you've been holding on to
- Great spring cleaning opportunity- donate what you don't want to take back home to a local nonprofit!
Application Deadline: Sunday, May 10th, 11:59pm HST.
Additional Vendor Details:
Promotion:
Vendors should be prepared to give us a picture & some of descriptions of their items to promote and generate excitement on social media ahead of the event. Help us help you get the word out about the stuff you want to sell!
Pricing/Transactions:
Vendors are responsible for the creation of their own prices as well as handling transactions at their booth. Please price your bike(s) to sell. We suggest using bike blue book and/or Pinkbike, and pricing fairly so your bike doesn’t come home with you!
All vendors should be prepared to share a ballpark estimate of their earnings with HBL after the event. (This info will help us plan for future swap meets!)
Don’t want to haul back unsold items after the swap? You can donate any unsold bikes and components after the swap meet to HBL. HBL will use these donations for funding, within our programs, or we will distribute them to other local nonprofits as needed. Material donations to HBL are tax deductible. Be sure to follow IRS rules for non-cash charitable contributions.
If you have any questions about donating to HBL, please call 808-735-5756 or email bicycle@HBL.org.
