Hawai’i Bicycling League recently held an election for 5 positions on our Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 term.
Candidates included:

- Geoff Hamilton (incumbent)
- Patricia Johnson (incumbent)
- Samantha Lara
- Morgan Pōmaikaʻi Lee
- Michael Parsons
- Frank Smith (incumbent)

HBL Members had the opportunity to vote from December 1st to December 12th. A total of 121 active members participated.
The candidates selected by HBL Members for the 5 available include:
- Andee Blackwell
- Frank Smith
- Gary Gill
- Patricia Johnson
- Samantha Lara
At the December HBL Board Meeting, the Board also approved Norb Buelsing to complete the 2nd year of a term vacated by a recent resignation. This term will end on December 30, 2025.
The Hawai’i Bicycling League would like to extend a mahalo to the Board Members and perspective candidates who were not elected to the Board or whose terms expire at the end of this year.

We’d also like to thank the existing Board Members who are half way through their two-year terms. This includes Bob Bengtson, Pattie Dunn, and Kyle Parades.
