Hawai‘i Bicycling League was founded in 1975 and while there was many long rides on Oahu, the first Honolulu Century Ride was in 1981. In 2016, we had the First Honolulu Aloha Fun Ride. Then in 2023, we had the first Ho’omaka to celebrate the 40th Honolulu Century RIde. Now in 2024, we’re hosting our Packet Pickup Expo the Ho‘omaka, the Honolulu Century Ride, the Honolulu Aloha Fun Ride, and a finish line festival at Kapi‘olani Park
Whether if you want to hang out, volunteer, or ride with us on the last weekend of September we hope to see you. Hawai‘i Bicycling League wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated volunteers, our passionate community, and our active supporters.

This event is for anyone that wants to celebrate bikes, HBL, and/or HCR. No need to be a rider on Sunday. Join us for a great evening with friends, drinks, food, and bikes!
Hawai‘i’s signature cycling event!
The ride starts from Kapi‘olani Park, takes you past Diamond Head just after sunrise, out to Sandy Beach, through the beautiful backroads of Waimānalo, through Kailua and Kāne‘ohe, with the 100 mile turnaround point at Swanzy Beach Park, and then returning to finish at Kapi‘olani Park.
The route is mostly flat with a few moderate hills and a prevailing east or north-east wind that usually is blowing at 5-15 miles per hour.
This is a ride, not a race, and roads remain open. Ride at your own pace, all skill levels and ages are welcome. Please ride with aloha.

As O‘ahu’s oldest and largest cycling organization, Hawaii Bicycling League is working hard to achieve our mission of “enabling more people to bicycle for health, recreation, and transportation through advocacy, education, and events”.
We advocate for bicycle-friendly, safer street changes, including laws to protect people on bikes and other vulnerable road users, more bikeways and Complete Streets, as well as the policies and funding to make Hawaii a bicycle paradise.
We educate bicyclists and motorists on how to safely share our roads and to ensure anyone that wants to bike is empowered to bike. We educate over 8,000 4th graders on Oahu every year, growing the next generation of cyclists.
We host events both big and small to get people bicycling and bring together a community around the love of cycling.
This wouldn’t be possible without the support of our members, riders, contributors, and volunteers.
Mahalo for being part of the Ride Aloha Festival. All funds raised will go toward HBL’s advocacy and education efforts to make Hawai‘i’s streets safer for all.
If you want to “go the extra mile”, here is your opportunity.
