Walk and Roll to School Hawai‘i

Did you know May and October are Walk & Roll to School months in Hawaiʻi? These are the months school communities across the islands commit to hosting a day (or more!) to celebrate the benefits of walking, biking, or rolling to school. If you are interested in learning more about what it takes to host a successful Walk & Roll event at your school, fill out the contact form below and we will send you helpful resources. Whether you have coordinated walk to school events for years, or you are brand new to hosting such an event, we are here to support your work along the way! All contact information will remain private and will be housed with Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute (HIPHI).

Dedicated to supporting school staff, keiki, and ʻohana who want to host walk and roll to school events. This effort is being organized by the Hawai’i Department of Health, Hawai’i Public Health Institute, and others. HBL is helping promote the Walk & Roll to School program. October and May are key months for these events to be held. HBL’s BikeEd is happy to support this effort.
