Have a Bicycle to Donate?

Right on! We’re all about being sustainable, recycling, and helping others – and stoked you feel the same way too. While HBL does not regularly take in bike donations (our office is quite small!), there are some times that we can make exceptions for taking in new/like-new bikes (such as around the time of HBL’s Fundraiser Event + Silent Auctions).

We’ve compiled a list of places on O‘ahu that will welcome your bike donation. Please read the descriptions below to get to know our community partners, when they are open & where they are located, as well as what kinds of donations they will accept.

Kūpuna Shed (formerly “Men’s Shed”)

Kūpuna Shed is “It’s a community workshop primarily for older men, however, women are welcome. Building things, repairing things and tinkering are part of a man’s DNA. The traditional garage shed is becoming a thing of the past. Men used to get together at the local coffee shop or corner garage, but they are disappearing. That is why the notion of Men’s Sheds was born. It all started in Australia in 2006 and has now spread around the world. Australia has more than 1,000 Sheds and three Sheds a week are opening in England. The Honolulu Men’s Shed Association started in early 2016.”
