Apply to Join the Hawaiʻi Youth Transportation Council!
The Youth Council will serve as a working, leadership group advising HDOT on our climate mitigation and adaptation commitments and programs. Youth Council members will advise on everything from increasing public electric vehicle charging, to improving pedestrian safety, to communicating effectively with youth and the broader community.
Youth Council members will represent the priorities, values, and needs of the communities they are a part of and bring their own lived and learned experience to HDOT’s work.
The first Inaugural Youth Council will play a critical role, helping HDOT to establish the foundation for the Youth Council’s long-term success. The Inaugural Youth Council will work directly with HDOT’s Office of Climate Mitigation Adaptation & Culture to define the Youth Council’s long-term roles and responsibilities, meeting structure, and project focus, ensuring Youth Council participants have the greatest impact possible and a rewarding experience.
We need youth leaders at the table to help us get there!
Learn more here and apply to join the Inaugural Youth Council by November 25.
