There will be booths with great information shared by our community partners including the DTS’ Bicycle Program, O‘ahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OahuMPO), Hawaiʻi Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission, Hawai’i Public Health Institute (HIPHI), Queens Medical Center, Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, and Department of Health Neurotrama Program. In addition, The Bike Shop will be providing simple bike check-ups (first-come, first-served)!

6:30pm – 10:00pm

@ Honolulu Patagonia

535 Ward Ave, Honolulu, HI 96814

Join Patagonia and HBL for a screening of Filmed By Bike’s programs Bike Love and Adventure.
The Bike Love program is a collection that mingles extremely short films with a few heartfelt pieces that tell stories of how bicycles are changing lives. Appropriate for all ages, but this program does contain some heavy content discussing racism, discrimination and the generational trauma of Native boarding schools.
The Adventure program features inspiring tales of adventure, struggle and triumph on the rugged road. The path to expedition isn’t always easy, but nature and a wild sense of curiosity lure us away from our computers, desks and schedules to enter the great wide open. These incredible films will wow audiences with their gorgeous cinematography and compelling stories. Appropriate for all ages.

The Ride of Silence is a solemn annual event held each May to honor cyclists who have been injured or killed on public roads. Participants ride slowly and silently through the streets of Honolulu, wearing white, in a powerful show of remembrance and a call for safer streets. The ride raises awareness about the need for motorists to share the road and underscores HBL’s commitment to making Hawai‘i a safer place to bike.

We’ll have bib numbers to write the name of someone to honor on this 6.5 mile ride utilizing protected bike lanes.
