LET’S RIDE!

Explore new routes, meet new friends and find the beauty of Riding Aloha year round.

Mele of Bicycling

Celebrate the rhythm of bicycling with HBL throughout the month of May.

Honolulu Century Ride

Each year in September we celebrate Oʻahu’s coastal beauty in Hawaiʻi’s longest running annual cycling event.

100 mile century out and back ride takes you from Kapiʻolani Regional Park along the South share to the East shores of Hawaii Kai, over historic Makapuʻu Lookout into Kailua, through Kaneohe to Kamehameha Hwy where you will ride into the beautiful North Shore to the 100 mile turnaround at Swanzy Beach Park.

Hale'iwa Metric Century Ride

Kicking off the summer each year we head out to the North Shore of Oʻahu for a Metric Century. The course takes you through Haleʻiwa Town, out towards Kaʻena Point, then back along the shores past Waimea Valley, Sunset Beach, and Kahuku, with the 100km turn around at Hauʻula Beach Park.

Zachary Manago's Ride in Paradise

A memorial tribute ride to celebrate the life of Zachary Manago, a promising HPU student, baseball player, and avid cyclist who was killed senselessly on December 17, 2010 while on a bike ride around O’ahu.

The community-based ride brings people together for the love of biking and emphasizes our need for safer streets and sharing Hawaii’s roads. Our responsibility to look out for one another with Aloha.

Mele Metric Century Apr 30 – May 9, 2021

HBL’s Metric Century is a transitional bike event that honors current safety restrictions and mixes in all the fun, and authorized, things we can do with you to celebrate bicycling

Get your bikes in tune to rock & roll during a 10-day ride period ~ Apr 30-May 9, 2021. Bike for fun, bike for exercise or bike for the competitive challenges – inside, outside on any bike you want. No more COVID excuses!

Aloha FUn Ride

A ride within a ride, Aloha Fun Ride occurs at the same time and location as our century distance rides. If you are not up for the century distance (100 miles or km) you can join the ride day fun by participating in a shorter distance (usually 5, 9 or 18 miles). Like all HBL rides, Aloha Fun Ride is a casual and non-competitive event that brings riders together of all ages, experience and encourages family and friends to ride together.

Join a Group Ride

Check out the weekly ride schedule for a group ride best suited for you! This calendar has all the info you need to join one of HBL’s affiliated group rides, plus additional group rides put on by other organizations/teams on O‘ahu. Big or small you can find them all – from beginner to a hill challenge.

Other Partner Bike Events

Find a calendar of events put on by our bike-minded friends & partners from across the state.

Bike Maps and Curated Routes

Plan your bike commute or next fun weekend ride adventure using HBL’s map of all bicycle routes on O‘ahu, or pick from a collection of curated routes we’ve put together. There’s one to suit every cyclist!

Hawai’i Bike Laws

Knowing the laws that govern cyclists in Hawai‘i is important, but actually following them is just as crucial to your safety & enjoyment on the bike. Follow the rules, respect yourself and others, and ride with aloha!
