On Wednesday, August 6th, the Honolulu City Council will consider Resolution 25-221 which would transfer $1M of funds from the Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency to the Department of Transportation Services to expand Biki options for transit commuters.

We are calling on HBL members and allies to submit testimony today

Public transportation relies on public investment for the public good. The City has not spent any funds on Biki since at least 2017. The fleet has been drastically reduced owing to theft and vandalism. The docking stations are rusting and too often off-line or not functioning. With the support of our members, HBL will continue to call for ongoing transparency and investment, so that Biki can serve more people with reliable, affordable, multimodal transportation options.
