Please make sure your bicycle is in good-working order for the ride. Your bicycle may be subject to a safety check to ensure it is safe to ride.

Drinks & snacks will be provided.

✧ Why are we doing this ride?

HBL is holding this event in partnership with HPD to promote safe cycling habits after sunset and foster good relationships between people pedaling and our local law enforcement.

✧ What does the law say about riding at night?

Hawai‘i law requires those bicycling at night (specifically: 30 minutes after sunset, until 30 minutes before sunrise) have a white light on the front their bicycle, and at least a red reflector on the rear of the bike. HBL definitely recommends having a flashing red back light as well, and adding more reflectors to your bike & apparel. Read exactly what the §291C-147 Hawai‘i Law says here.
