Whether you’re planning to ride the full 100 miles or not, join the Red Hot Ladies Cycling Club to train for the 40th Annual Honolulu Century Ride (Sunday, September 24th)! It’s super important to build up your stamina so you can have a great ride and a successful recovery week.
All rides will be 20-30 miles for those not riding the 100 miles. We will, however, start at the same locations and ride out at 7:30am. The “100-Milers” will be adding 5 miles each week, starting this week at 30 miles and building to 80 miles on 9/10. That will leave the final week for rest/easy riding on 9/17.
An added value, there will be some instruction by Dorian Cuccia on some Thursday evenings at Lagoon Drive, 4:30-6:00pm – dates to follow when we get our calendars coordinated. In the meantime, “100-Milers” please do clear your calendars for Thursdays at Lagoon Drive, remembering 1 loop = 4 miles.
Also, for those of you who have time, the Monday and Thursday morning HBL rides are also good additions to your training
Keep on reading to see dates and routes of the training days.
We ask for all HBL-affiliated rides, if you haven’t already completed the HBL Group Ride: Annual Waiver online, please be ready by bringing your own pen to the ride to sign in
