Sunday September 28, 2025 – Honolulu Century Ride
1,500+ Cyclists and Volunteers Expected On Island Roadways
Honolulu, HI – The Hawai‘i Bicycling League will present the largest bicycling event in the State of Hawai‘i on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The marquee Honolulu Century Ride, now in its 42nd year, is part of the Ride Aloha Festival, a weekend of related events with nearly 2,000 total expected participants. We invite the public to help us share aloha and our roadways so that everyone gets where they need to go safely! We welcome your kokua. Photos and videos of past events are linked here. Event start time is 6:15am with riders completing 5-100 miles. Event end time is 5pm.
Road Closures, Parking Restrictions, and Coning
At the Start – Kapi‘olani Park – Road Closure and Parking Restriction
3:00am – Organizers begin setup. Kalakaua Ave (Mauka lane & parking) from Tennis Courts to Monsarrat Ave. will be closed to traffic. Also one lane of Monsarrat Ave will be closed to traffic and continuing on to Paki Ave until 9:00am. Parking is also restricted in the lot closest to the Bandstand the whole day until 5:00pm.
East O‘ahu – Lane Closure
5:15am – The makai Hawai‘i Kai bound lane of Kalaniana‘ole Highway will be closed from Kahala to Lunalilo Home Road until 8:00am. Modified lanes from Lunalilo Home Road to Hanauma Bay, to maintain access in/out Hanauma Bay.
6:00am – Full Closure of Kalaniana‘ole Highway from Hanauma Bay to Sandy Beach Park until 8:00am. Drivers will detour via Kealahou, Hawai‘i Kai Drive and Lunalilo Home Road when the road is closed. When the Kaiwi Coast segment re-opens at 8:00am the detour will be the route for cyclists still on the course.
Kaneohe – Modified Lanes
7:30am – Modified lanes on Kahekili Highway using cones to create wider shoulders in each direction from West Hui Iwa Street to Haiku Road, until 2pm
At the Finish – Kapiolani Park near the bandstand
The public is welcome to attend our finish festival from 11:00am – 5:00pm. There will be food, live music & entertainment, and community partners.
Organizers have secured a road closure permit from the Honolulu Department of Transportation Services.
