📍Where to Find Bike Valet:
HBL’s valet bike parking will be located on College Walk, mauka of ‘A‘ala Park (between Beretania Street & N. Kukui Street). Look for the blue & white HBL tents!
Cyclists – access via N. Kukui St.
Ride your bike to the bike valet at the event, and we’ll take care of the rest. Just like a coat-check, we’ll tag your bike and provide you with a claim stub.
Enjoy the event, and bring back the claim stub when you want your bike returned. You can even leave your helmet or panniers on your bike (securely attached of course). That’s it!

Helpful Info
How much does it cost?
HBL’s bike valet is free for anyone on bicycle – seriously! But don’t forget to let event organizers and sponsors know how important the service is to you 🙂 #Free & #Freeing
Who operates this amazing service?
Your friends at the Hawai‘i Bicycling League (HBL)! We’re a local non-profit based in Hawai‘i.
Do I need a lock?
No need! The site is secure and attended at all times. If you have your lock with you and don’t want to lug it around, you’re welcome to leave it with your bike.
Can I leave my stuff with my bike?
Sure! Because we can’t inventory your accessories, we can’t be responsible for them, but anything securely attached to your bike will be safe.
What can be parked at bike valet?
We accept personal bikes of all shapes and sizes – tandem bikes, cargo bikes, e-bikes, push bikes, trikes, and even unicycles! Although we will watch over all bikes equally, if you’re arriving with a Biki bike we highly recommend that you dock your Biki bike at one of the bikesharing stations nearby.
What if I can’t get back in time to pick up my bike?
When you take your claim stub, you’re agreeing to our service terms. If you’re not back to pick up your bike at the event’s closing time (10:00PM), you will have to email us (bicycle@HBL.org) the day following the event to pick up for your bike. There will be a $50 fee for its retrieval.
Will you park my push scooter, roller blades, or shopping cart?
We love that you are choosing active transportation. Unfortunately right now our bike valet & parking is not set up to check in other-wheeled devices (that aren’t bicycles).
What if I lose my claim stub ticket?
Pleeease try your best not to misplace your ticket. That’s proof the bike we parked is yours! It’s up to the on-site supervisor to handle the issue. We also recommend taking a picture of your claim stub, just in case.
How can I get involved?
HBL’s valet bike parking is operated by a combination of HBL staff and awesome volunteers– and we’re always looking for more! It’s like a coat check, but for bikes — completely hassle-free and secure! We give you a claim stub, and you give us your bike. After the event, you bring back the stub and we return your bike. Pretty simple.
HBL has staff & trained volunteers to run an efficient Bike Valet service. Guests queue and provide their contact information to our staff. A numbered valet tag is attached to the bicycle handlebars, and provided to the guest. Bikes are checked in and out by HBL’s Bike Valet Attendants only. The service is insured and staff care for the safety of bikes for the full duration of your programming.
Bike valets cut down on traffic congestion, increase attendance at events, reduce security costs, provide a “green” marketing angle, and much more. Offering Bike Valet encourages alternative transportation and healthy habits, and gets people to the event instead of endlessly driving around the block searching for parking.
Grow your audience reach and give your existing guests peace of mind. It is often a challenge to find bike parking. Even when it is available, bikes are at risk of theft or vandalism when left unattended on the street. Bike Valet gives your guests a worry free experience. Plus, use your space efficiently. Parking bikes in corrals keeps them off of trees, railings, and high traffic areas.
What does the Bicycle Valet provide?
Secure, ticketed parking for all bicycles during your event;
Staffing and materials related to service;
Secure fencing (unless otherwise discussed);
Way-finding signage for cyclists
