The bike path that lines the Ala Wai Golf Course and Ala Wai Park needs repaving. This is a campaign to send messages about the importance of making the path safer and more comfortable.

When you call or write, you can say you’re a cyclist who bikes the path that lines the Ala Wai Golf Course and Ala Wai Park. In your own words you can talk about how the Ala Wai Path is a major route cyclists depend on to safely commute and recreate. However, it has fallen into disrepair.
Tree roots, potholes, and uneven surfaces make the path dangerous and uncomfortable. They cause unnecessary crashes and discourage people from biking. Add any other personal experiences and ideas if you like. It will have more impact if you use your own words.
Mahalo for taking the time to improve cycling on Oahu!
