If you ride a bicycle, support safe streets & a healthier island, and want to be part of a powerful movement that betters the health & wellness of our community one pedal stroke at a time, HBL is your community!

GET INVOLVED

Adding your voice to the bicycling movement, sharing ideas, putting muscle into projects, or sharing a smile and encouragement: Hawai‘i Bicycling League has many ways you can make a difference.

DONATE

You can unlock the passion and skill of the Hawai‘i Bicycling League to transform our community from car-centric to bike-friendly. Your donation funds a stronger HBL team, more outreach, more projects.  Simply more of what you want to see.

What's Happening Now at HBL:

HBL’s Golden Gears Triking Program is BACK!

HBL’s recumbent three-wheelers will be returning to the bike paths of O‘ahu, bringing joy, socialization, and healthy, low-impact exercise to adults and kūpuna across the island. Each free trike ride outing includes a recumbent EZ-Tri Classic trike, helmet, orientation session, and personal fitting to ensure everyone is feeling comfortable before we set out on an instructor-led ride on one of the many (car-free) multi-use paths around O‘ahu. There is no cost to register but donations (of any amount!) are highly appreciated to help cover the cost to run this program.

Open House – Celebrating HBL’s 50th Anniversary

On December 16th Hawai‘i Bicycling League will be hosting an Open House at their Kaimukī office, where they’ve been for the past 31 years. This is our final celebration for our 50th Anniversary, so come out, socialize, have a drink, and talk story with HBL & fellow supporters.

Pūpū will be provided with drinks for sale.
No set program, come and talk story as you like.
See where all the magic happens!

HBL’s Annual Benefit Dinner

This year’s Annual Benefit Dinner is focused on raising funds to help fund HBL’s advocacy, education, and events while also allowing us to expand into new areas. Mahalo for supporting HBL’s mission to enable more people to ride bicycles!

HBL’s New MEmbership platform

On August 15th 2024, HBL transitioned to a new and improved membership platform. All existing memberships (including membership levels and expiration dates) were transferred over to the new system. In the coming months you’ll also be able to sign up for events and volunteer opportunities with HBL on the new platform, creating a single, streamlined place for all of your HBL engagements!

Current HBL members can access their account on the new platform now by requesting log-in at this link. For help or troubleshooting, please see this guide.
