Design inspiration, as told by the artist:
Ka‘ena Point is a beautiful area and significant part of Zach’s Ride. At this vantage point, our journey begins. The Manu (birds) represent the Managos with Zach guiding everyone toward the finish in Maunalua, Zach’s home. The manu were significant in Hawaiian way-finding. The Ilima and Naupaka (plants/flowers) are native to the area.
