Skratch Labs makes sports nutrition designed to help you perform better without offending your gut or your taste buds because we use real food, starting from scratch. Our mission is simple – to develop and sell food and drinks that taste great, that are made from real ingredients and that solve problems for active people. Most importantly, we intend to educate and to continue to learn and grow ourselves – to help our customers improve and thrive as they help us to do the same. We know we have a lot of work to do to fulfill this mission and we are the first to acknowledge that we are a work in progress – that things won’t always be perfect. But there’s no better time to start than now. Thanks for supporting our small and independently owned business as we work to support you and your active life.

Baked With You In Mind: The very first moment you enjoy one of Bobo’s handmade snack bars, your taste buds tell you how heartwarmingly delicious they are. What your mouth won’t tell you is why - that every bar is still made the same way Bobo and her mom baked their very first batch in 2003 - by hand and from the heart. Small Batch Baking with our Hands & Our Hearts: In fact, little has changed over the years. Every single treat – from our Original Oat bars to our Toaster pastries - is still made the old-fashioned way, in the same small batches, using the same ingredients, and baked in the same pans. Only now, we have a few more sets of hands in our Loveland, CO bakery. And they’re all making sure you can taste the love in every bite.

Mechanical Support

Velohana is a small, artisan cycling & triathlon shop passionately focusing on helping the enthusiast of any age or ability. Founded in 2017 by former pro and international coach Will Mather, Velohana was originally a bike fitting, performance cycling & triathlon specific training program and has since added on a bike shop. His passion for cycling has been globally serving communities, having started KVIBE with Gary Gill, starting a huge cycling community in Bangladesh (and now has a Guinness World Record for longest cycling paceline) and now is returning once again to HCR to volunteer as mechanical support!

The Bike Shop Hawaii opened in 1970 by Faye and Dennis Saiki at the corner of Cooke and King Streets, eventually opening up locations in Aiea and Kailua. The Saikis got into the bike business originally to promote cycling as a means of transportation with the dream of eventually getting more bikes than cars on the road. The Bike Shop is dedicated to giving back to the cycling community as they have:

-Been instrumental in founding the Hawaii Bicycling League (with The Bike Shop General Manager, Mel Nakahata, currently serving as a board member)

-Helped to start the Advertiser Century Ride (now known as the Honolulu Century Ride) and making it an over 30 year commitment.

-Organized The Bike Club in 1976 which was followed by the current Tradewind Cycling Team (TCT)

McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods marks its 100th anniversary this year, and the company’s longevity is a tribute to the plantation days work ethic of its founders. The old-fashioned value of hard work was passed down to their children and grandchildren, said Ali Kessner, part of the third generation which still keeps the wheels turning. It was her grandfather, Giyei Takayesu, who founded the Waipahu store, originally named the G. Takayesu Bicycle Shop, on July 4, 1923, on Waipahu Street. In 1986, the store moved to its current 8,500-square-foot location on South King Street. Around 1990, Takayesu opened McCully Bicycle Repair & Maintenance Shop, converted from a warehouse on nearby Hausten Street, where he continues to work today.
