All Things Bikes!
On Sunday, May 17th, bikes will be taking over The Barn @ SALT at Out Kaka‘ako! Capping off National Bike to Work Week we will be hosting a full-day bicycle celebration featuring a Cycle Swap Meet, helmet giveaway, free bike workshop, and a pau hana with beer specials that support Hawaiʻi Bicycling League. Come spend the afternoon with us, find a deal, talk story, or have a pint of our Ride Aloha Lager (New Belgium will be donating a dollar for ever pint sold at Village throughout the month of May).

Cycle Swap Meet:
Hawai‘i Bicycling League, community members, and local bike shops will be selling bikes and all bike related goods from 12pm-4pm in the Barn @ SALT at Our Kaka‘ako. This is a great event to meet bike-minded people and find some good deals. You never know what you might find for sale. If you want to be a vendor, we still have spots open! Fill out a vendor application here to sell your bike stuff!
Helmet Giveaway:
In need of a new bicycle helmet? HBL is joining forces with the Honolulu Police Department’s Traffic Division to fit and give out bicycle helmets to bike riders in need, for free, starting at 2:00pm. Helmet recipients will get a proper helmet fitting and must be present to receive their helmet. One per person, first-come, first-served. Helmet giveaway will be conducted in the Barn @ SALT at Our Kaka‘ako from 2-3pm, or until supplies run out.
Bike Maintenance Clinic:
Show your bicycle some love and drop into this free bike repair clinic hosted by HBL from 4-5:30pm where you’ll learn how to do simple tune-ups on your bike.
Pau Hana Talk Story:
Stop by Village Bottle Shop and order a Ride Aloha Lager from New Belgium and they’ll donate a dollar to Hawai‘i Bicycling League. A New Belgium representative will be there with free samples from 4-6pm and HBL staff will be hanging out and talking story.
BikeFest:
Whether you’re looking to sell a bike, get a helmet, or make a new friend BikeFest is for everyone. Mark your calendar and come to SALT at Our Kaka‘ako for a day full of bikes!
