For 20 years, the Hawaii Bicycling League and the City and County of Honolulu have partnered to bring the BikeEd(sm) Hawaii program to over 80,000 fourth graders on Oahu.  This comprehensive, on-bike, on-road bike safety program is unique in Hawaii and the nation, in that we brings children onto adjacent public roads.  Through the efforts of many, the The BikeEd(sm) Hawaii program has provided the knowledge and basic skills to navigate school neighborhoods safely as bicyclists and pedestrians.

BikeEd's five 45-minute sessions were conducted for 5,791 students in 2006-2007. Schools that received BikeEd instruction for this period were:

Cure Ride, Enchanted Lakes, Ewa Beach, Hahaione, Hale Kula, Helemanu, Hickam, Hokulani, Holomua, Iliahi, Iroquois Point Elementary, Island Pacific Academy, Kaala, Kahalo School, Kaimiloa, Kainalu, Kaiulani School, Kaleiopuu, Kalihi Uka, Kamakau, Kamiloiki Elementary, Kaneoho Elementary, Kanoelani, Kapolei, Kapunahala, Kauluwela, Kipapa, Kipapa, Koko Head, Laie, Leihoku, Liliuokalani, Maili, Makakilo, Manana, Manoa, Mauka Lani, Maunawili, Mililani Ike, Mililani Mauka, Mililani Uka, Mililani Waena, Moanalua, Mokapu, Mokulele, Momilani, Nanaikapono, Nimitz, Noelani, Nuuanau, Palolo, Pauoa, Pearl City, Pearl City Highlands, Pearl Harbor Elementary, Peral Harbor Christian Home, Pohakea, Queen Kaahumanu, Soloman, Sunset Beach, Wahiawa, Waialae Elementary, Waialua, Waianae, Waiau, Waikele, Waikiki, Waimalu, Waimanalo, Waipahu, Wheeler
